State of Our Nation - Clear Warnings of the Tribulation to Come

The State of Our Nation - American Flag For decades now, people have taken notice that with each new generation, we seem to be steadily moving further and further away from the "old-fashioned family values" and morals this country was founded on. It's no secret that things have been changing as to what is now considered acceptable in our society and deemed as "normal", or "okay". These changes have signified a consistent movement away from God's standards of morality and righteous behavior our nation was founded on. In fact, these very morals I would argue, would have no reason to be embedded within each one of us if God did not exist. In this article, we will start at the beginning and take a look at how this country was founded, some major events in which we moved away from God's path, the repercussions of those defiant actions we (as a people) have taken, and the clear call for us all to get back on God's path.

Event 1 - The Dedication of our Nation to God and New Beginnings

America's most recognized foundational event was the signing of the declaration of independence on July 4th, 1776. This was the document that initiated the beginning of the Country we live in today and was created and signed by our founding fathers, specifically written to coincide with biblical morals, teachings, and reliance upon God's grace and protection. The declaration of independence contained multiple references to the recognition that this country was not only dedicated to God, but that only through God is this country possible.

...The "laws of nature and of nature's God" entitle the United States to independence.
...Men are "endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights."
...Congress appeals "to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions."
...The signers, "with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence," pledge to each other their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor

- Declaration of Independence, July 4th, 1776

After the founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence, there were many political actions that took place to align offices, create administrations, and establish the constitution that took over 12 years to get in place. After this time, another monumental event occurred that would put someone in the highest seat in our new country...The election and inauguration of our first president, George Washington. On April 30th, 1789 our first president was inaugurated, not in Washington (as one might think), but in New York City on the balcony of the Federal Hall building located on Wall Street, which was the capital of the U.S. at the time. During the inauguration, George Washington announced his dedication of this country to God's purpose, not our own.

Such being the impressions under which I have, in obedience to the public summons, repaired to the present station, it would be peculiarly improper to omit, in this first official act, my fervent supplications to that Almighty Being who rules over the universe, who presides in the councils of nations and whose providential aide can supply every human defect, that His benediction may consecrate to the liberties and happiness of the people of the United States a Government instituted by themselves for these essential purposes; and may enable every instrument employed in its administration to execute with success, the functions allotted to His charge...

- George Washington address to Congress after inauguration, April 30, 1789

After the inauguration, George Washington led the procession down the street to a church service at St. Paul's Chapel where he said the following prayer asking God to guide us and bless us with His protection;

Almighty Father, If it is Thy holy will that we shall obtain a place and name among the nations of the earth, grant that we may be enabled to show our gratitude for Thy goodness by our endeavors to fear and obey Thee. Bless us with thy wisdom in our counsels, success in battle, and let our victories be tempered with humanity. Endow, also, our enemies with enlightened minds, that they become sensible of their injustice, and willing to restore our liberty and peace. Grant the petition of Thy servant, for the sake of whom Thou hast called Thy beloved Son; nevertheless, not my will, but Thine be done.

- George Washington prayer in St Paul's Chapel after inauguration, April 30, 1789

3 years later, On May 17th, 1792, twenty four of New York's leading merchants got together near the Federal Hall building on Wall Street in New York City and signed an agreement called the "buttonwood" agreement, named after their traditional meeting place, under a buttonwood tree, which is a type of sycamore tree. This agreement was the founding of what is now called the New York Stock Exchange and is what became the very symbol of our nation's prosperity.

It is clear that this country was indeed founded on God and as such, has been truly blessed beyond all military and economic measure. God's hedge of protection around this country and His grace is the only reason we have become the super power we are today in relation to all other countries in the world. We founded this country in trust that God will provide for us, protect us, and guide us. He has more than honored our requests...What are we doing to honor Him in return?

Event 2 - Declarations that Our Society Doesn't Need God Anymore

Across the U.S., our country has slowly, but surely, continued to move away from the principles that this country was founded on. Let's take a look at just a few major events that have transpired as testimony of our country's move away from these principles;

Removal of God and prayer from our schools nation wide.
The United States Supreme Court decided in Engel v. Vitale that a prayer approved by the New York Board of Regents for use in schools violated the First Amendment because it represented establishment of religion.
June 25, 1962
Announcement that the U.S. will rebuild, bigger, better, and stronger in the aftermath of 9/11 attack
The statement on this infamous day in our nation's history was an almost exact replication of the same defiant statement made by Israel in the biblical book of Isaiah thousands of years ago. This was an opportunity for our country to turn back to God, and instead we declared that we no longer need God and we will handle things ourselves, better than God can do for us.
September 11, 2001
President Obama announced the reassessment of our relationship with Israel (our ally and God's people), stating that the U.S. is looking at abandoning Israel at the UN.
This reassessment is due to Israel not wanting to have a 2 state solution with Palestine. Israel's prime minister's reasoning points to the fact that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas's has a pact to form a unity government with Hamas, which Israel, the U.S. and most European countries consider a terrorist organization. Netanyahu states that he supports the same conditions for negotiating a sustainable peace that he staked out in 2009: a demilitarized Palestinian state whose leadership recognizes Israel as a Jewish state.

Movement for "Transgender Rights" established.
Bruce Jenner, the former Olympian, U.S. all-star athlete, and current reality TV star, came out as a transgender woman in a recent two-hour interview with Diane Sawyer on ABC’s 20/20. His disclosure was widely applauded by the public as well as gay, lesbian, and transgender advocates alike.

Same sex marriage legalized nationwide.
The U.S. is now the 21st country to legalize same-sex marriage.

U.S. / Iran nuclear program agreement reached.
This agreement (once settled in Sept 2015 - The month of the last Tetrad) will lift oil sanctions and the arms embargo for Iran as reward for their compliance with the halt of their nuclear program. This will allow Iran to start selling oil and importing arms. The removal of these sanctions and embargos will only fund the ability for Iran to increase terrorism and military action against Israel. Obama states this as a safe agreement with full access to Iran's nuclear sites for monitoring. However, according to a spokesman for Iranian atomic energy organization, no permission has been given for inspectors to access military sites or talk to nuclear scientists.

Several U.S. senators are against this nuclear agreement, stating that this will only result in a nightmare for Israel. Israel's prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu states that this is a mistake of historic proportion and fears that Iran will not only continue their nuclear program, but that this agreement will only fund more terrorism against Israel with the influx of funding as part of this deal.
7/14/15 (7/(7+7)/15)

The examples provided above are just a few instances of our country's defiance against God and His people in Israel. Our revocation of the agreement we made with Him when founding this great country is becoming clear. Probably one of the most disturbing facts is the time span of these events....With each passing year, these defiant events become more frequent and much closer together.

Event 3 - Warnings Not To Be Ignored

Jesus is incredibly kind and forgiving, however, He will not be mocked. He is witnessing our actions and many prophetic studies (including myself) believe His hand is moving as a result. As God is seeing these things occur, His time of judgement regarding our actions is drawing near and there are clear signs that we need to turn back to Him. Below are several examples of these signs that we all need to be paying attention to;

Attack of the Twin Towers (9/11) September 11, 2001
Largest stock market crash since the great depression causes stock market to fall exactly 777 points September 12, 2008
Final biblical Tetrad occurs 2014 - 2015
Bethlehem star appears for the first time in over 2000 years. June 30, 2015

It is important to note that the unique years in which these events have occured are all 7 years apart from one another and the bible is also knwon to be a book of "7's".

Ground Zero

9/11 was not only one of the most tragic events in recent history, it was also a clear sign for us to turn back to God. Let me explain by taking a quick look backward in history with the book of Isaiah and the Assyrians.

In the book of Isaiah, the Israelite's had turned from God with the worshiping of false idols and exemplifying perverse, immoral behavior. In these times, God had removed His hedge of protection around them. The removal of this hedge resulted in the Assyrians attacking Israel. The Assyrians were a heathenistic people founded in the principles of terrorism and fear and the blood lines of these people are in the middle east and thought to be in some of the very same terrorist groups in place today. The interesting thing is that Israel was initially attacked by the Assyrians in a quick manner and then the Assyrians retreated. All the while, God kept calling out to His people to come back to Him, over, and over again. Afterwards, Israel went after the Assyrians in their land and attacked them and these events ultimately led to the destruction of Israel.

If you look at the events transpired with 9/11 and the signs given by God during this time, it is almost an exact replay of what occurred in the book of Isaiah over 2000 years ago, with incredible detail. Some of the below events surrounding 9/11 are incredibly interesting to think about;

Collapse of our foundation Ground zero land owned by St. Paul's Methodist Church (Inauguration prayer). The ground that dedicated this country to God, collapsed with the falling of the twin towers. St. Paul's Methodist Church (Inauguration prayer) was left untouched and a cross was left standing at ground zero.
Our Defiant statement against God Bigger, better, stronger speech announcing that we don't need God and will rebuild ourselves and be even better/stronger on our own. Falling of the sycamore tree and replacement with a cedar tree
Collapse of our prosperity 7 Years after 9/11 - Largest stock market crash since the great depression causes stock market to fall exactly 777 points.

Our world is changing and turning from God more and more each and every day. It is important to realize that with all of this happening, God loves each and every one of us and desperately wants us to turn back to Him. These troubling times are a tremendous opportunity for us to get God's word out and get people to go to Him.

What can we do?

God is calling His people back and just as it is stated by Him in Acts 2:17, He is pouring out His spirit to anyone who will let Him in. His people are coming to Him in droves and churches are bursting at the seams. The time is now to open your hearts to Him, invite Him into your life (or re-commit to Him), and start learning about Him, ministering to others, and getting involved!

He has a specific purpose and design for each one of us...All He asks is that we follow Him and that purpose/design He has for us. It is crucial that we all edify the Lord in our daily lives within ourselves and to others, even if not by direct ministry, but by our actions and our attitudes each day. When you are saved and belong to Jesus, the Holy Spirit works within us and through us and you may be witnessing to others without even realizing it! God wants us all to know Him, so let's get out there and make sure no one misses the opportunity to be presented with His grace and His love.
